Wendy's Dinner Theater

On Saturday night Jason, Mandy, Gwen and I went to Wendy’s for a little dinner. Now we could have gone to the Wendy’s down by the mall, but no, I thought we should go to the one by Hobby Lobby (also known by many as Hepatitis Wendy’s). So we went in, ordered our food, and I found a nice quiet table along the side for us. There was no one over there by those tables so I thought it would be a pleasant eating experience.

Little did we know, only moments after sitting down would be forced to watch what I would call Jerry Springer’s Dinner Theater. There we were in the middle of some sort of white trash fight or gathering, I’m not quite sure which. One of the people seemed kind of drunk and barely escaped a fight when he was saved by his Wendy’s employee friend. There was also the teenage looking girl toting her illegitimate child and cursing about something or another. She was of course not to be topped by the other teenage girl who got a disturbing cell phone call which caused her to become quite upset at drunken guy. And last but not least was the weird she-male who both Mandy and I thought at first was a dude but after hearing him talk was amused to find that he was a she.

All of this only lasted about five minutes but it made for quite a interesting eating experience. So now Hepatitis Wendy’s shall now be called White Trash Wendy’s. Oh and the food was great! ;)

The light bulb that wasn't

I have been to 3 stores in Marion today looking for one particular light bulb. A bulb burned out on our stove hood and it requires a 50 watt halogen bulb. Now, both Lowe's and Home Depot have these type of bulbs but I was not satisified with their selection. I was the one who bought the original bulbs about a year ago so I know what I was looking for. My final stop was at Walmart. They have the bulbs I think I need but not in 50 watt. After coming home I inspected the good bulb only to find out that it is a 40 watt bulb. So why did I buy a 40 watt bulb originally? We may never know. No wonder I couldn't find what I was looking for...I wasn't even looking for the right thing! So that's my adventure story for today. Expect many more like it. Everytime I get in my car, stuff like this happens.

On an interesting note...I was listening to the radio today and the song Loser by Beck came on. And in that song is one of the best lyrics ever written..."and my time is a piece of wax fallin' on a termite who's chokin' on the splinters." Poetry man, poetry! ;)

www.mymarion.com (go there!)

If you have the chance you need to check out the site www.mymarion.com This guy is great and has some really funny podcasts and he does it all from his Marion apartment! How cool is that?

Power Blogger??

I am so addicted to the internet. It’s sad really. I just can’t pull myself away from it. In fact when my computer is down for some reason I feel withdrawal symptoms. I’m so pathetic.
I really hate the word “blog.” If you haven’t noticed there is a little icon on the bottom left there that says I Power Blogger. I don’t even think that’s proper English. Shouldn't it be I’m A Power Blogger? And how do you power blog anyway? Sounds dirty. Oh well, I chose this blogging site because I liked the background colors and I’m not into html and such so I can’t make my own pretty page. You can feel sorry for me if you want. :(

Parking lot woes...

I was very close to shopping at Lance's in Gas City tonight. That is until white trash lady and her gaggle of kids pull up. I had just pulled into a spot kind of back in the parking lot with plenty of space around me, and sure enough someone had to pull in right next to me. I must be some sort of magnet. This normally wouldn't be a problem but I was driving Jim's truck and had to get Gwen out of the back and wanted the extra space. So I sat there for a moment thinking ok I'll just wait for the person to get out of the car. I waited and after a couple minutes and seeing 4 kids get out of this little car I decided that shopping there just wasn't to be tonight. I'm not even sure you can legally get 4 small kids in a car anymore. Don't they all have to have their own car seat? I could have gone on into Lance's but for some reason I got a bad vibe from those kids.

Oh well...I shopped at Marsh instead and there was like no one there. It was great! :)

Saturday is my new least favorite day of the week

Hello everyone! Second post...woohoo! Well, Jim left today for Alaska. He'll be gone for about 8 days. I'm not too happy but I'm trying to remember that distance makes the heart grow fonder (or some crap like that).

By the way...if you haven't seen it yet don't bother watching the Andy Milonakis Show on Mtv. If you've seen The Tom Green Show then you've seen this too except that Tom Green is way funnier.

No Longer A Blog Virgin!

Hello, and welcome to my first blog post. You may have seen others like it before but this one is all mine. Of course you're probably wondering why I even have a blog. Well, the answer is simple. Because everyone else had one and I wanted one too. And if you know me, you already know that I'm practically married to my computer anyway so a blog seemed like the natural thing to do. So I hope you enjoy my posting on here, but if you don't that's ok too. I can't guarantee that they will be new posts everyday, but I will see what I can do. In the mean time go play some Bejeweled or something. :)
